A very successful week for the Stags as they claimed silverware in both track and XC events.

Sun 18th Feb 2024: NI & Ulster Senior XC Championships
Carndonagh GAA ground was the venue today for the NI & Ulster XC Championships hosted by Inishowen AC. The race comprised 7 laps (10,000m) for the men and 4 laps (6,000m) for the ladies.
The Stags excelled by taking podium positions in both the ladies and the men’s races.
For the ladies Emily Haggard-Kearney bagged first place with a time of 22:53, closely followed by Roise Roberts in second place on 23:49.
For the men it was Finn McNally who claimed pole position with a time of 34:35.
But the crowning glory goes to the ladies who won the team title and the league. A special mention to Una McConnell and Helen Weir for building a successful ladies team.

Sat 17th Feb 2024: British Masters Indoors Track & Field Championships
David Clarke represented Northern Ireland and the Harriers at this indoor track event held in Lee Valley Athletics Centre, London.
David secured two silver medals in the M60 category, one for 800m and one for the 1500m in which he missed gold by just 0.20s.

Sat 17th Feb 2024: Irish National Senior Indoor Champs 2024
Conor Curran made the journey to the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus, in Dublin to compete in the 1500m. He was rewarded with a time of 4:10.88.

Sat 17th Feb 2024: Castlewellan 10k
The Castlewellan 10K is the 6th and final race in this year’s Run Forest Run Series.
The race starts and finishes in the shadow of the Majestic lakeside castle in Castlewellan Forest Park and takes in a loop of the lake as well as the surrounding hills.
Four Harriers made the journey to the scenic Co. Down park.

Sun 18th Feb 2024: Zurich Maratón de Sevilla
Steven Walker went to the sunnier climes of Saville to take part in the Zurich Maratón de Sevilla which has a spectacular circuit, the flattest in Europe, that passes through the most emblematic places in the city such as the Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, La Giralda, Maria Luisa Park or La Maestranza.
He managed a fantastic time of 03:09:13.

The long standing Larry McGill Rás Na hÉireann XC was ran over 6 Km courtesy of Dunleer AC at Lawlesstown, Dunleer.
Joe Gallagher was the sole Harrier to take part, completing the course in 31:27. Well done Joe.

A total of 96 North Belfast Harriers took part in 25 parkruns.
