Lots of medals in what turned out to be a great week for the Harriers.

Thurs 19th Aug 2023: Man O War

Joe Gallagher was the sole representative from the Harriers to run in the Man ‘o War 7k, hosted by Lusk AC, Co Dublin. The race started and finished outside the Man ‘o War pub in beautiful rural surroundings, just north of Lusk. Runners were taken on a single loop on scenic roads. A very fast 3k descent was followed by a challenging 4k climb, with two particularly interesting hills. Joe finished the race in 26th place, in 30:49.

Sat 19th Aug 2023: NI Masters Track & Field Championships

A very successful day for the Harriers at the Mary Peters Track today.

Five Harriers competed in a total of five races and were rewarded with podium places.

Sat 19th Aug 2023: Wild Atlantic 10 miler

The race began in the Belleek area of Ballina town near Ballina AC, and took participants on a fantastic route through the picturesque Belleek Woods running parallel to the iconic River Moy and along part of the Monasteries of the Moy Greenway.

Chris Callaghan made the journey to Ballina, Co Mayo and ran the course in a time of 02:04:43.

Sat 19th Aug 2023: Frank Duffy 10 miler

Held entirely with Dublin’s beautiful Phoenix Park, this race is the third event in the Irish Life Dublin Race Series 2023.

Gabriel McAvoy represented the Harriers in Dublin and was rewarded with a time of 1:05:00. Very well done Gabriel.

Sat 19th Aug 2023: Storming the Castle

Storming the Castle is a firm favourite with the North Belfast Harriers. Eighteen of their number joined a field of almost 900 runners on what turned out to be a warm day in Carrickfergus. Louise Smith took home a medal as the third lady finisher as well as first in the F50 category. A further five took podium positions in their respective categories.

Well done everybody who represented the Club on the day.
