Ulster Schools Track Championships On Friday night Eoin McConnell ran in the 3000m itermediate boys race placing 9th in a time of 9.50. Also running on Friday night was Holly Collins in the intermediate girls 3000m placing 7th in a time of 11.12 Plenty of junior stags headed to Antrim Forum on Saturday too attempting to qualify for the All Ireland School championships. Lagan Valley Fab 5 After a successful first meeting of the Lagan Valley Fab 5 we are back again at Mary Peters track this Thursday for round 2. Different events this time and the meet caters for all levels. This is a great entry level meet if you have never competed before and want to give it a go. Another great morning down in Larne at the East Coast cross country series. This was the final race in the trilogy and held at the Sandy Bay sports pitches down by the leisure centre. Plenty of junior stags made the start line and seemed to enjoy the free buns and juice as well as a solid morning of racing. We even had a few podium finishers too. Mallusk Cross Country It was great to see the kids back at it after a Christmas break. Coaches and kids looked refreshed and raring to go. The Mallusk course had a mix of firm ground, muddy puddles, uphills and flat elements and for once the weather was kind as we all know Mallusk has a climate somewhat similar to the Antarctic.
