Another great morning down in Larne at the East Coast cross country series. This was the final race in the trilogy and held at the Sandy Bay sports pitches down by the leisure centre. Plenty of junior stags made the start line and seemed to enjoy the free buns and juice as well as a solid morning of racing. We even had a few podium finishers too. Well done Josh and Thomas placing 2nd and 3rd in the junior boys race and getting an early Easter egg for doing so. Plenty of happy runners and parents and sure what else would you be doing on a Sunday morning. This weekend a few junior stags head down to represent their schools in the All Ireland Schools Cross Country Championships in Waterford. It will be a great experience for some of the junior runners who to this point haven’t taken part in such a large event. Also I received my email from the club this week about renewing this years membership. Can I take this opportunity to say I feel the junior section of the club has had a very good year and and the numbers turning out to training most weeks is outstanding. The coaches have done a fantastic job recruiting and providing opportunitis for the kids to race. Speak to any of the coaches about the renewal process but you should have received an email from the club.
