Storm Boelo left its mark on the racing scene this weekend with many races being cancelled or postponed.
However, the Harriers put in many fine performances in the races that they managed to compete in.
Fri 23rd Oct Enniskillen Spooktacular 5km
Enniskillen was transformed into a sea of spooky costumes on Friday night as over 1600 runners took to the streets for the annual Spooktacular 5K.
Witches, skeletons, ghosts and other Halloween characters were among those taking part in the popular event, bringing colour and excitement to the town centre.
Five Harriers ventured west to the County Fermanagh town to join in the fun.
The results were pretty spooktacular as Conán McCaughey claimed first position with Colin McDowell taking 2nd place in the M50 category.
Well done to all.
Sun 25th Oct 2026 Frankfurt Marathon
The Mainova Frankfurt Marathon makes some bold claims: a fast course, fantastic spectators and an overwhelming finish line.
Hopefully, John Black, who represented the club, found that the race lived up to the hype. He certainly did his bit, storming home in a blistering 2:33:05.
A fantastic performance, John. Well done!
Sun 25th Oct 2026 Dublin Marathon
Storm Boelo didn’t deter 19 Harriers from joining nearly 19,000 others to pound the streets of the capital for the annual Irish Life Dublin Marathon. Athletes passed through many well-known areas of Dublin including Christchurch, St. Stephen’s Green, Phoenix Park and Kilmainham Gaol before finishing back at Mount Street Upper.
Despite the weather, the Harriers put in many fine performances.
