The Harriers’ Cross Country success continues apace as they add yet another gold medal to this season’s impressive collection.

Sat 21st Feb 2026: Derry XC
Three Harriers made their way to Thornhill College to take part in the Derry XC race hosted by the City of Derry Spartans.

Philip Goss took gold, beating his nearest rival by over 25 seconds. Well done to our three athletes.

Sat 21st Feb 2026: Rabbit Run
Alina Biskupska represented the Harriers in the We Run Wild Rabbit Run, which took place in Ballypatrick Forest in the heart of Glens of Antrim. Alina completed the Half Marathon distance in a time of 2:03:52, making her the third female across the line. Well done Alina.

Sun 22nd Feb 2026: Las Vegas Rock ‘n Roll 10k
When racing in rainy Belfast is not exciting enough for you, why not jet off to sunny Las Vegas? That’s exactly what Nola Jamieson and Peter Dolan did. Both competed in the 10k race with Nola crossing the finish line in a time of 1:12:38 and Peter one second behind at 1:12:39. Well done to you both.

Inter Counties Cross Country Championships
Congratulations to Andrew  Milligan and Conan McCaughey who have been selected to represent Northern Ireland at the UK Inter Counties Cross Country Championships, supported by British Athletics, which will be held in the Grounds of Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 7th March 2026.

Sat 21st Feb 2026: PARKRUNS
A total of 106 Harriers took part in 21 parkruns.

Well done to this week’s First Lady Finishers: Emily McRITCHIE (Sixmilewater parkrun) and Cathy McCOURT (Montalto Estate parkrun). Also to the gents: Hugo REILLY & Matthew McCOMBE, joint first finishers (Waterworks), Seamus LEHENY (Buncrana parkrun) and Colin McDOWELL (Montalto Estate parkrun).

Ten runners achieved PBs this week: Hugo REILLY, Sion McALLISTER, Isaac MOONEY, Rachel AICKEN, Lucy JONES, Leah LAMONT, David FOSTER, Niamh McMILLAN, Derek GOODFELLOW and Emily McRITCHIE.
Well done all.

Congratulations to three runners on their milestone this week: John Gerard MURPHY – 700 parkruns, Georgia OSHAUGHNESSY – 50 parkruns and Stephanie COY – 100 parkruns.
