A much quieter week after the great successes of Cross Country during November and early December. Instead of taking part, we got to watch the top athletes participate at the European Cross Country on Sunday morning. There was not a bit of mud to be seen! However, our local athletes did extremely well and coach Séamus sums it up nicely when he mentions “Yesterday at the European Cross Country Championships was probably one of Ireland’s overall greatest days in Athletics … Great to think that we as athletes, supporters, parents, volunteers and coaches are not only witnessing it but can help build upon it with our combined efforts. It was days like yesterday and our club’s junior athletes enjoyment and successes at the recent Irish Underage Cross Country Championships that keep us all motivated and chasing the dream!”.
Things will be quiet quiet now until the Schools XC ramps up towards the end of January and continues into March. The authors of this report are going to take a well deserved break over Christmas and will be back early in the new year.

Training:
The track will be closed on the following dates. There will be no training.
