  The Ladies from North Belfast Harriers Shine at the Laganside 10k, Sunday 1st September.   The first Sunday in September saw the return of the annual Laganside 10k race, and there were some impressive performances with Gladys Ganiel and Louise Smith lifting gold and bronze, respectively in the ladies’ race, with impressive times of 36 min: 26 sec and 40 min: 12 sec. The unpredictable and at times inclement summer weather persisted through mid July. In spite the seasonably unpredictable, and at times inclement mid June weather, the members of North Belfast Harriers persisted in their running activities, with great success at distances ranging from 800m on the track, to ultra marathon endurance events of over 100 miles!  It’s Bronze for Diane Taylor in the 100 mile Race, and Gold in the Team Relay, at the 24 Hour National Championships at Victoria Park in Belfast, Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th June  Diane Taylor was the third female …

It’s Category Silvers for Debbie McConnell and Ryan More at Strabane-Lifford Half Marathon, Sunday 19th May  Three Harriers made their way to Strabane for this annual border half marathon, and unsurprisingly all three demonstrated some impressive running and great performances. First home was Ryan Moore in 1 hour: 15 min:23 sec, lifting silver in the M40 category.
