A very happy sunny bank holiday weekend to all of our Mini Stags – typical exam weather that we are having this weekend and next, sorry about that but it was always the way! We do hope that those of you who are studying hard are able to take a bit of a break to enjoy the warm temperatures and glorious sunshine – long overdue after a winter that felt like it lasted several years!

May Fair 5k
First up, huge congratulations to Emily McRitchie and Holly Collins for their fantastic podium positions with the girls finishing in 1st and 2nd place in the Women’s 5k event in Ballyclare. This is an amazing result from our 2 club members who consistently turn out excellent results for the club and continue to be an inspiration to our younger members. Keep up the good work Emily and Holly!
BMC Lagan Valley Meet
Tanoj-Reddy Yakkanti ran a 100m time of 12.89 seconds at the Lagan Valley Super 6 Meet 1, winning his heat and finishing 7th overall in the Under-16 Boys division. Well done to Tanoj for an excellent performance!

Other News
We are looking forward to seeing how those of you who managed to get signed up for events in the Super 6 Series get on later in the week and in the meantime, our thanks to the Club volunteers for organising the upcoming fun day trip to Escarmouche – there are still places left for those who want to attend although the bus is now fully booked. Make sure not to miss out on this great day out!
Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the usual times -make sure to wear suitable clothes, sun cream and bring plenty of water whilst the good weather lasts!
And finally all the very best to all those athletes who are travelling down to Tullamore for the forthcoming All Ireland School Championships – good luck to all!!
