This week saw two of North Belfast Junior Harriers, Thomas Coy and Cormac Leheny, head to Wales with the Irish Team to compete in the SIAB Cross Country School Race in Wales. Making their way round a tough course the boys did amazing, Thomas coming 12th in 20:34 and Cormac 18th in 20:50. With the Irish Team placing second in the event. A massive congratulations to both what an achievement. Two great runners, role models and ambassadors for the North Belfast Harriers.
What another great week for the North Belfast Junior Harriers. The weather was beautiful at the Waterworks Parkrun and Junior Parkrun events and the juniors were out to enjoy their run in the sun. The juniors ended the week on a high after their hard earned success at the East Coast AC Junior XC Series 2026 earlier today.

The Waterworks Parkrun
Quite a turn out from the Junior Harriers at the Waterworks Parkrun on Saturday morning. First junior finished was Sion McAllister who completed the 5K in 21:13. Followed shortly after by Nola Rafferty and Seadna O’Hare Lynch in 22:41 a personal best for both and Nola was the first female junior to finish. PBs were not scarce at Saturday’s Parkrun as Fola O’Kane, Lucy Jones and Katie Kielty also finished with a new personal best. There was plenty of bodies at the 5K and the juniors should be very proud.

Waterworks Junior Parkrun
On Sundays Junior Parkrun Kobe McClelland was first to finish at an impressive 7:25 followed by the first female junior to finish Olivia Boyd in 9:10. The junior Harriers must have enjoyed themselves as they finished in no time with Annabelle Boyd (9:23) and Fola O’Kane (9:29) both finishing with a personal best.
