NORTH BELFAST HARRIERS JUNIOR REPORT 26 JANUARY-1 FEBRUARY 2026

As a very wet and gloomy January came to a close, we can reflect back on a much quieter week. The Cross Country Schools Districts were cancelled due to a weather warning on Tuesday which left Ormeau Park flooded. They have been rescheduled to Tuesday 3 February, but the course will still be very wet and muddy. Good luck to all of our juniors running for their schools.

Congratulations to Erin O’Regan who was delared the winner of the U15 Girls Shot Put. Great going Erin!

Training

Training as normal this Tuesday and Thursday at Girls Model track from 6pm

Please ensure all Juniors bring additional layers of clothing for warm up, post running and in case they have to sit out at any time as the evenings are currently very cold and wet. Ideally hats and waterproof tops due to current and forecast weather.

Also, if any parents can lend a support at pack up time with the taking down of the mobile lights that would be appreciated – means everyone gets home in good time!
