This week many Harriers were making the most of the mid-March mass participation events with the Queens University 5k on Wednesday evening and the Craic 10k on St. Patrick’s Day. There were also plenty participating at a plethora of parkruns on Saturday morning as well as the usual training, coaching, volunteering and complaining about the raining!
Queens University 5k.
On Wednesday evening, before it got too dark, several hundred runners ran around the Annadale Embankment on the relatively flat course to see how well the winter’s training has been going. There were some impressive times ran and congratulations to those who ran a PB.

SPAR Craic 10k
Nearly 4500 runners took part in the Craic 10k on Sunday morning and North Belfast Harriers were well represented throughout the field on St. Patrick’s Day. Some wore fancy dress and facepaints and some others ran really fast. Gladys finished 3rd in the women’s race and 30th overall. Elisoa, Louise and Holly also ran well in their respective age categories.
