Quiet report after last weeks all Ireland cross country in Navan but if you read this early enough get the kids in front of the TV 1:05pm and cheer on current NBH star Matthew. He came up through the junior section of the club and just shows what can be achieved through consistency and dedication.
Irwin Speirs Cross Country
Well done to Eoin McConnell who was first home in the U18 race and by the look of his legs it would be safe to say it wasn’t firm underfoot. Well done Eoin and I’m sure this win wont be the last.
Waterworks Parkrun
An absolutely fantastic run by Cormac yesterday not only placing 1st but setting a new PB with a time of 18.04. A sub 18 on the cards now before Xmas. He was followed home by Thomas in 3rd in 19.02 and Alex in 8th 21.03. Eimear was the first NBH junior girl home in 26.44 and Matthew Purvis cruising home in 36.09.
Waterworks Junior Parkrun
Another typical wet winters morning but as usual the kids turned out. We had harriers in 1-2-3 positions so well done Alex, Lucas and especially Isaac with a new PB of 8.06. Eva also ran in a time of 14.47.
Training announcements
There will be no training at the Girls Model Track on 21st , 26th , 28th December and 2nd, 4th January 2024. Can parents also check the app before heading to training as there might be late adjustments due to weather.
