A busy week with races ranging from the fast and furious Seeley Cup to the festive Hazelbank Santa Run.

Sat 4th Dec 2021: Seeley 10k and NI & Ulster 10k Championships
The Seeley Cup course comprises two and a half laps of Ormeau Park and Ormeau Embankment. As it is flat, it proves to be very popular with athletes, not least this year with a total of 764 crossing the finishing line, including 53 North Belfast Harriers.
Well done to Janice Plumb, Brian Stewart and Jack Carberry for leading in their respective age categories.
The Seeley 10k counts towards the NI & Ulster 10k Championships, so both the Ladies and Men’s teams were keen to perform well, which they did. The Ladies team came 5th putting them in 6th place overall, while the Men came 2nd putting them in 1st place overall.

Sun 5th Dec 2021: Irish Life Health 2021 National XC Uneven Ages
The Irish Life Health National Novice and Juvenile Uneven Cross-Country Championships delivered an exciting day of athletics this weekend, hosted by Gowran AC at Gowran Co Kilkeeny.
Matthew LAVERY took top podium position in the U19 Boys race over the 7km course.

Sun 5th Dec 2021: We Run Wild NI Chillathon
Only one Harrier braved the cold to enter this marathon event – our marathoner-in-chief, Greg McClure.
The circular route took in roads and trails stating and ending in Carrickfergus. There were no marshals nor refreshments, so runners had to be completely self-sufficient. A far cry from the Belfast marathon!
