On Thursday night a large number of Harriers made their way to Armagh for the prestigious Brooks event, which featured some of the best talent from across the UK. Weather to run or not?

It was an unusually quiet on the running front this week with the weather affecting some of the few races that were scheduled to take place including the Sperrin Harriers Winter league race on Saturday. One race did take place however despite the windy conditions and that was the aptly named Roller Coaster 5k which took place in Downpatrick. Antrim IAAF International XC

The highlight of the week was the annual IAAF International cross country race held at CAFRE Greenmount Campus in Antrim on Saturday. The race which attracts some of the best international cross country runners to Northern Ireland each year once again had an impressive lineup including the current World cross country champion Japhet Korir (Kenya) and double European cross country champion Fionnuala Britton. Juvenile Cross Country Championships

AAI Uneven & Novice XC Championships On Sunday the annual running of the Woodies DIY Novice & Uneven Age Cross Country Championships took place in W.I.T Sports Campus in Waterford. This event is the Athletics Ireland Juvenile cross country event of the year and eleven Harriers made the journey to the multi-race event to represent the club, county and province. Countdown to the Seeley Cup

The Seeley cup is only one week away and with a total of forty-three Harriers set to take part it is going to be one of the largest participated events by the club this year. NI & Ulster Age Group Uneven Championships

Not wanting to be outdone by the excellent turnout by the seniors at the McConnell Shield on Saturday the junior members of the club turned out in force on Sunday to ensure that we were represented in 9 of the 10 races that took place in the NI & Ulster Age Group Uneven Championships in Gransha Park.
