NORTH BELFAST HARRIERS JUNIOR REPORT 20-26TH APRIL 2026

This week brought us some great weather along with some great results for our junior runners. Many of our runners will be taking part in the schools’ districts and Belfast primary school XC final this week, so we wish them the best of luck.

London Mini Marathon

The highlight of the week was the London Mini Marathon where six of our superstars represented their schools and Northern Ireland in the 2.6K race finishing at the Mall, just outside of Buckingham Palace. They all had a fantastic couple of days and ran amazingly against the best runners from England, Scotland and Wales. They even got to spend some time in London before their late flight back and from the photos, they clearly had a great time.

Districts

Well done to Lois who won the Long Jump (Inter) and also came 3rd in the 1500m (Inter), representing Ballyclare High. Her team also took gold in the junior relay.

Cadence won the 3000m (Inter) race. Congratulations Cadence – great to see you back at your best.
