A very Happy Easter to our Mini Stags, who we hope are all enjoying the Easter hols and taking the opportunity to eat lots and lots of chocolate, as well as enjoying a bit of well earned rest. Fair play to those of you who still managed to squeeze in a holiday Parkrun and an even bigger shout out to those of you who secured PBs, including Cormac and Mason, who ran seriously fast times in their respective Parkruns and came in 1st and 2nd places, as well as to Erin and Hollie who also got their fastest times yet! And we also have to say a special word of thanks to the volunteers who made the Easter Sunday Junior Parkrun at the Waterworks such a special treat filled morning for some of our Juniors who weren’t so much focused on fast times but filling up their Easter baskets with all of the treats that were so generously supplied by the volunteers and parents – how lucky we are to have so many people turn out to make these events such fun for the kids involved. Thanks to everyone who made that happen!

Other News
We send our good wishes to the NBH 15-16 year old Junior Boys Team who have been nominated for Team of the Year at the GolfNow Belfast Sports Awards 2026 following a year of huge achievements when the eligible boys won historic victories for the club at both the All Ireland Even and Uneven Championships. It would be great to see their huge efforts recognised at the awards so we will wait and see how that goes!
Future Events
We are looking forward to how all our young athletes who have qualified for the Primary Schools Cross Country finals perform later in the month (28th April at Mallusk Playing Fields) and turning our minds to the Athletics events coming up over the spring and summer. For anyone who is interested StarTrack are running a few Summer Camps at the Mary Peters Track for 4 days from 1st – 4th July and 29th July – 1st August aimed at ages 8-15. In the meantime, just a reminder that there is no training tonight but it will resume again on Thursday numbers permitting. And although the evenings are brighter, the temperatures are still not lifting for now, so please ensure everyone is warmly turned out for training kit that is weather appropriate.
