Schools out for Summer!…and not just School but our coaches are now going to have a well-earned break so that’s training over now until its starts back on 6th August.
We only had Parkruns this week and in total we had 18 Juniors lace up over Saturday and Sunday mornings, great running by every single little Stag, keep it up!
Our weekly run report will also be taking a well-earned break retuning in August. The writers will no doubt return with renewed writing inspiration for the year ahead and we’re always on the lookout for extra volunteers – many hands make light work so please reach out to any of us if you can spare a little time. The same goes for extra volunteers at the track so something to ponder over the Summer.

2km Waterworks Junior Parkrun – Sunday 30th June 2024
We had 13 of our Juniors take on the Waterworks Junior Parkrun on Sunday morning and a big shout out to Cormac, Eva, Fola and Lucy for all getting new PB’s!!! Teamwork was the name of the game for Eva and Fola who paced each other and it paid off for both of them. Lucy took over a minute off her previous PB, a great indication of how her training is paying off. Finally, Cormac bagged himself a new PB as well and potentially the 2nd fastest time at the Junior waterworks parkrun.

Alex continues his great run of form by getting a fantastic PB, smashing his previous PB from April 2022 by an incredible 38 seconds!

Dame Kelly Holmes 1 mile Kids race – 1st September
This fun race within Ormeau Park on Sunday 1st September is part of the Laganside 10k event same day which is our clubs own marquee event for the year. It would be great to have as many of our Juniors take part so entries are open and cost is £5

Club Colour Run – 8th August
The annual club colour run takes place on 8th August 5pm at Girdwood – Keep an eye out for registration details on the WhatsApp channel over the coming weeks for this fun run the kids will really enjoy.

Training now over for the Summer break and returns same times, same place on 6th August.
