It was a week were some people had 26.2 reasons to be happy on Sunday, along with some brilliant Parkrun achievements and hill racing results!
Hill and Dale Series: Binnian – 2nd May
The 4th event in the Hill and Dale series took place on a dry Thursday evening, with 273 participants running in this uphill only race which was approximately 3.5km to the summit of Slieve Binnian, tackling well over 500m of elevation along the way. Martsje Hell and Conor Doris represented the club, and clocked impressive times, with Martsje winning the F35 category.

Belfast City Marathon – 5th May
Sunday morning saw the biggest turnout for the Belfast City Marathon in its 42-year history, as over 5,000 marathon participants and 12,500 relay runners took part in the 26.2 mile route through all 4 corners of the city. I’m sure there are a few fragile bodies enjoying some well earned rest this bank holiday Monday.
Gladys Ganiel finished 4th female & 1st local female, with many other Harriers achieving incredible results, especially those doing the marathon for the first time! The men’s relay team also clinched victory placing 1st in the relay competition.
Congratulations to all involved, with a big thanks going out to those who volunteered around North Belfast and those who supported around the course!
