The racing calendar has resumed to ‘near normal’ with a variety of races and locations to report on.
 
Monday 2 August 2021: Broughshane 5K and 10K 
No clubs are listed in results but Nat Glenn and John McGuigan were amongst the athletes who completed the 5K, finishing in 6th and 8th with superb times.

Friday 6 August 2021: Mallusk 5 miler
Despite the wet conditions and ‘that’ hill, a number of North Belfast Harriers were among the 148 runners who turned up to support our neighbours in their annual 5 miler.  Congratulations to both Brandon McMinn and Martsje Hell who claimed two podium spots on the night.  In fact, five stags took half of the top 10 places! Congratulations to all who took part – excellent running!

As part of the annual Féile an Phobail, the 10K race took place on Sunday morning.  With over 600 runners, this was the biggest event to date!  Congratulations to John Black who completed the distance and was awarded second male with a ‘finish’ time of 32.45*and Gladys Ganiel who was first lady and 14th overall (36.56*).  
 
*Please note that no accurate ‘chip’ times are listed in results as the start line was moved last minute due to road issues and so mats were unable to be moved before the start.  Clubs are also not listed alongside the 600+ names but results for all athletes are available on https://www.championchipireland.com/index.html#results
